Bursting Wine Skins

Song #2 of the Concept Album "Fiercracker"

Professor Chen’s newfound insights aren’t easy to assimilate. She feels a pressure building within, an uprising of questions challenging the very foundations of her beliefs. Like bursting wine skins, her mind and spirit threaten to tear under the weight of this downpour of new knowledge.

But instead of fleeing, she plants her feet firmly, grounding herself in her own truth. By standing steady, she finds that the force she’s struggling to contain is transformative, helping her strip away the old to make way for the new.

BURSTING WINE SKINS

[Verse]
No man can sublimate a dissociation,
When the channel is clear from all obstructions,
The downrushing force swings around the bend,
Turns to an uprush, rising once again.

[Chorus]
But like it or not, it falls before the rise,
A force from the depths, reaching to the skies.
Plant your feet on earth, stand firm and true,
Or like bursting wine skins, it’ll tear right through.

[Verse]
The flow can be guided to any sphere,
To any path that you hold dear,
But before it soars, it crashes down,
Tearing through with a force unbound.

[Chorus]
But like it or not, it falls before the rise,
A force from the depths, reaching to the skies.
Plant your feet on earth, stand firm and true,
Or like bursting wine skins, it’ll tear right through.

[Instrumental]

[Bridge]
Elemental ground beneath our feet,
Holds the key to forces we meet,
The rise and fall, a dance so wild,
Hold steady now, don't be beguiled.

[Chorus]
But like it or not, it falls before the rise,
A force from the depths, reaching to the skies.
Plant your feet on earth, stand firm and true,
Or like bursting wine skins, it’ll tear right through.

[Outro]
Tread with care, the force will guide,
From the fall to the uprushing tide.

[Instrumental Outro]
